Tzahi’s classes are renowned for their clarity and vitality but also for their effervescence and humor. He loves sharing insights on the practice of yoga and enjoys observing his students make their own discoveries in this vast, wonderful subject.
Tzahi Moskovitz discovered yoga between rehearsals early in his acting career and soon trained in NYC at Be Yoga, which later became YogaWorks. With his focus and skill, he quickly became a senior teacher trainer there. Another senior teacher urged him to take an Iyengar Yoga class and he was struck by its effects on his body and mind — it was a perfect fit. After completing the rigorous two-year Iyengar teacher training program at the NYC Iyengar Institute, Tzahi became a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. He spent the month of July 2012 studying Yoga with the Iyengar family in Pune, India. Since his certification Tzahi has assisted the Specific Needs class at the Iyengar Yoga institute in NY, has taught a workshop series “Yoga for Amputees” (a collaboration between IYAGNY and NYU Rusk rehabilitation), and has gotten certified as a Yoga therapist with IAYT.
When not practicing or teaching Tzahi can be found baking bread, listening to Bob Dylan, riding his bike or spending time with his wife Tamara and his son Theo, who provide all the delight one could ever ask for.
